God, grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
And wisdom to know the difference.
— The Serenity Prayer

Addiction deeply affects both those who struggle with it and all the people who care about them. Whether you are facing addiction yourself or seeking to support someone else, you are not alone. There are many resources available to offer understanding, guidance, and encouragement for the journey ahead. In wrestling with the challenges of addiction, faith can be a source of strength, hope and healing.

The links below will lead you to helpful resources for both the addict and their family.

Am I an Addict? - Only you can answer this question. This 29-question checklist from Narcotics Anonymous, written by recovering addicts, is intended for people wondering if they have a drug problem.

Al-Anon - Al-Anon is a mutual support group for people whose lives have been affected by another person’s drinking or drug use. While their website is focused on drinking, most people in Al-Anon meetings are there because of someone’s drug use. Find a local meeting.

Alcoholics Anonymous - AA has many resources on its website, and has also introduced a number of apps (including a meeting finder) that can be downloaded from The App Store or Google Play. Find a meeting.
