Prayer
Sometimes we think about prayer as something we do for ourselves, but prayer is best seen as something we do for others. We serve others by praying for them. When we ask God to help others we allow God to reveal his glory in the midst of our life circumstances. Prayer should never be selfish or self-centered. It should be something we see as a tool for ministry and as a means for straightening out our own lives. Prayer is good for us, but the focus of our prayer lives should be on helping others and getting to know God better. It is a place where we can deepen our relationship with God and where we can discover God’s purpose and will for our lives. Prayer is ministry and it is a great way to serve others and to grow in our discipleship.
